Arachne is the second boss in Pac-Man Party. He is a large purple spider that wears a skull helmet. Arachne was imprisoned beneath the pyramid in Mirage Oasis 1,000 years before the events of Pac-Man Party, and serves as the boss of the Mirage Oasis board.

Pac-Man Party[]
Arachne as he appears in Pac-Man Party
Arachne appears in Pac-Man party, sealed beneath the large pyramid in the background of Mirage Oasis. As the players pass by the excavation site on the board, they will dig a hole deeper until they hit water. Once the player digs deep enough, water surrounds the pyramid, releasing Arachne. Arachne draws closer to the board each turn, eventually reaching the board, causing the players to begin a battle against him.

When the battle starts, you need to press 1 on the Wii Remote to attack. He will ocasionally jump and fall in the ground, leading some bones to appear, you can grab them to attack. When he recieve enough damage, the ground will break and the players will enter on his nest. There, he will be able to use his web as a rope and pass trough the center of the stage, throw web balls from his opisthosoma and launch a web/energy beam from his mouth. After the players give enough damage, some rocks fall from the ceiling on him and he is knocked out.

- Arachne is named after the weaver Arachne from Greek mythology. In the myth, she was turned into a spider by the goddess Athena. Despite the Arachne in the myth being a female, Arachne in Pac-Man Party is stated to be male.
- In the Rewards section of Pac-Man Party, Arachne is stated to be Idmon's son.
