Buccaneer Beach is a level in Pac-Man World and Pac-Man World Re-Pac. It is the first level of the Pirate Ship Area and the first level overall. It serves as the game's tutorial, introducing players to power-ups, level gimmicks, and Pac-Man's moveset.
Overview[]
The level opens on a boardwalk located on the coast of Ghost Island. Next to the Boardwalk is a Ghost Zone occupied by Pinky and Clyde. The Zone is set up like a Maze, containing Pac-Dots and Power Pellets, the latter of which can be used to defeat the two Ghosts. As Pac-Man ventures deeper into the island, the level's setting gradually shifts from a sandy beach to a small coastal town.
Signposts scattered across the level teach Pac-Man how to use moves such as the Butt-Bounce, Rev Roll, Pac-Dot Attack, and Super Pac-Dot Attack. They also teach him how to interact with various objects found on Ghost Island, including Switches, Fruit Doors, and B-Doings. In addition, the level introduces two power-ups Pac-Man can use: the aforementioned Power Pellet and the Chrome Power-Up (also known as the Metal Dot in Re-Pac), which makes Pac-Man immune to certain environmental hazards and allows him to walk underwater.
There are very few hazards in this level. The only enemies Pac-Man encounters are Pinky, Clyde, and some Skeletons. In terms of environmental hazards, there is one cannon that shoots at Pac-Man while he's riding a Helivator and some bottomless pits towards the end of the stage.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac[]
- The level's first Ghost Area can no longer be skipped as the path leading to the rest of the level has been moved to the Area's top right corner.
- The boardwalk at the beginning of the level now completely flanks the Ghost Area.
- The Green Switch that activates the staircase has been moved to the other side of the nearby pool of water.
- The Rev Plate that opened the portcullis has been replaced with a Helivator that performs the same function.
- In addition to its other effects, the first Blue Switch now spawns a Chest that contains an Extra Life.
- Pinky is now present in the level's second Ghost Area.
- The Toc-Man Statue marking the end of the level is located on a staircase.
