Pac-Man Wiki

Capsule Factory is a redemption game released in 2003 by Namco-America. The machine is visually themed after the Pac-Man series.

Gameplay[]

The player must attempt to win a capsule by maneuvering it up a slope and into a hole. When the game starts, a mechanical arm moves automatically from left to right; the player must press a button to line up the arm on the capsule of their choice. Following this, the arm will begin moving up the machine towards the holes; the player uses a trackball to guide left/right movement of the arm, though cannot directly control upwards movement. There are three holes total, and there are five prizes in the machine at once (with an additional prize dropped in if a prize is won).

Trivia[]

  • There appears to be an alternate (likely earlier) version of the machine, which uses otherwise-unique Ghost designs. The more common model of the machine uses 8-bit Ghost graphics based on the original Pac-Man arcade game.
  • The machine's artwork is seemingly based on the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man, particularly in its maze coloring.
