The Enemies from the canceled game, Pac-Man Ghost Zone. Few of the monsters look like the parts of electronics, the others are Ghost Lord's electronic troopers, and couple of ghosts.
From William H. Anderson's game plan document from deep research.
Software Enemy[]
- (SW01) Glider - Glider leaps from higher platforms and launches missiles at Pac-man. Glider spins out of control and explodes when killed. Tentatively, Pac-man can leap and grab onto glider’s legs to get around.
- (SW02) Hover Guard - The Hover guard will bob up and down to avoid attacks while shooting bolts of energy from his staff. When killed, Hover guard de-rezes in an arc of lightning.
- (SW03) Rebreather - Rebreather is a “water-only” creature. He scoots forward with his jet-pack and rams Pac. If Pac is far away, he will launch a torpedo from the upper part of his pack. Rebreather dies in an explosion of bubbles.
- (SW04) Circuit Trooper - Circuit Trooper patrols a small area. He will fire an energy bolt from his staff. When killed he de-rezes ala TRON characters. The welding Circuit Troopers are used in the Short Circuit level.
- (SW05) Instigator - The Instigator has no attacks of his own, but summons Circuit Troopers to fill the room capacity. When killed the Instigator vibrates and explodes.
- (SW06) Volt Guard - The Volt Guard teleports into and out from the floor to surprise Pac. He also launches his arms as a missile attack. When killed, the lightning arcing on his head winks out, then the Volt Guard dies in a shower of sparks.
- (SW13 + SW15) Normal Ghost and Flicker Ghost - Including the main ghosts from Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man (Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde, and Sue) alongside four new ghosts (Lackey, Finky, Flicker, and Winky). They chase Pac and if they touch him, he is electrocuted. When killed, nothing but their fleeing eyes are left. The firing (1) and balancing (2) cannon ghosts are used for the Pixel Cannon on level 25.
