Volcanic Panic is the second level in the Volcano in Pac-Man World 2, and the 15th level overall. This level takes place in the main vent of the volcano. At this level, there are three switches to make the lava drain down to the bottom to go to the magma chamber, which leads to Magma Opus. The main vent in this volcano has five lava tubes because the highest lava tube is connected to the side vent which this placed at the level Into The Volcano. This level is also difficult, and you must be careful, not to die too much.
Walkthrough[]
Open the crates. Grab the steel ball and everything a run for the next room. There are 3 switches here. Hit the first one and pac dots and two ghosts will appear. Ignore the ghosts and eat the pac dots as fast as you can. Now hit the other green switch and two Power Pellets appear. Grab one and eat the ghosts, now jump to the geyser platform and across and eat the ghost there too. The orange switch you saw earlier just makes the geysers go down for a few seconds, but if you were fast the steel ball protects you from it so you don't have to bother. In the next room jump across all the platforms ignoring the Stony. But if you do have a steel ball power-up, you can beat a Stony. There is a token in the air, jump and grab it, and move on to the checkpoint. Rev roll across like the sign says and hit the next checkpoint. Grab the steel ball. Grab the steel ball, then run through everything and go across the platforms to the switch, then the lava will go down and back into the magma chamber, and then run again to the second switch which will lower the lava again, then Pac-Chain will lead you back to the Magma chamber. Run across the lava and hit the checkpoint. Now Rev Roll across the big gap and hit another checkpoint. Jump to the moving platform and start revving. When it reaches the ramp roll over to the falling island. Jump onto the ledge. Now you must shimmy across and backward jump the rev button to avoid the geysers in the wall. Watch for fire rocks as well. It's best to keep moving or a rock might jump out at you. The galaxian is at the end, along with a green switch. Hit the switch. Then complete the maze level. Once again go back to where you are from. At the end of the part, jump backward onto the falling platform. The pac chain will back to the magma chamber, and you go down, and quickly go to Exit.
Trivia[]
- At this level, the number of fruits is given by sequence every 1. 1 Galaxian, 2 Oranges, 3 Melons, 4 Cherries, 5 Apples, 6 Strawberries.
- This is the only level in the game where we don't go from point A to point B, but go down. In this level, there are 3 main switches that will lower the lava level, and we need to get to the very bottom where Exit is located.
- This level has a Shortcut in the lava pool behind Stony on the left, that allows you to complete the time trial in a few seconds.
