Fire Hydrants (消火栓 Shōkasen) are level objects and minor obstacles in Pac-Land. The hydrants appear throughout the game, and occasionally will shoot blasts of water at Pac-Man. While affixed to the ground, some fire hydrants can be pushed away to unveil secrets such as power-ups.
The fire hydrant also appears as Pac-Man's down special move in the Super Smash Bros. series, where upon summoning one, it pushes opponents away. It can also be launched if it takes enough damage.
In Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, a Fire Hydrant appears as an emblem on the hat of the Legendary PAC-LAND Costume, alongside a Cherry, a Cactus, and a Lucky Pac.
