Gargoyles are monstrous enemies in the Pac-Man series. They are large behemoths with bat-like wings.
Appearance[]
Gargoyles are large and rotund behemoth-like monsters with bat-like wings, blue skin, three yellow eyes, horns, sharp teeth and claws, giving them as somewhat demonic appearance.
Behavior[]
Gargoyles usually appear as mindless animalistic brutes who follow the orders of ghosts, however at least one gargoyle has been seen properly eating its meal with tableware and another has been seen buying and eating at Ogle's like a regular customer, suggesting that they posses more sapient intelligence than they let on. Other gargoyles are seen to use architecture like clubs and taunt others via flexing and beating their chest which further proves this.

Gargoyles posses the ability to fly with their wings and can shoot out fire, gas and even powerful beams of energy. They are also incredibly strong. They also appear to be carnivorous and eat the feet of some unknown creature.
History[]
Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness[]
They appear as obstacles in Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness. They appear in several stages of the game, often spewing fire or poisonous gas from their mouths in order to damage Ms. Pac-Man. They are unable to be harmed; Ms. Pac-Man must simply try to avoid their attacks.
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures[]
Gargoyles appear in Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures as recurring enemies in the series who often appear attacking characters whenever they enter the Netherworld, or when Betrayus orchestrates an invasion on Pac-World.

A gargoyle was cloned by Dr. Buttocks to form an army to invade Pac-World but get ultimately defeated by Pac and his friends with its clones being destroyed by Sir Cumference's mech.

The giant gargoyle flexes after seemingly defeating PacZilla
Another gargoyle was enlarged by Dr. Buttocks to ravage Pacopolis and then fights PacZilla where like the previous gargoyle, also gets seemingly defeated by Pac. However, the it comes back up and wants to fight him still but Pac shrinks it from the inside which causes it to turn timid while Fuzbitz comforts it.

The treadmill gargoyle after Pac drives into its mouth
A gargoyle was a main component behind Betrayus' drill where it powered it via a treadmill. Another gargoyle was seen eating at Ogle's and belching which draws Pac's attention and eat it whole. The gargoyle on the treadmill eats the expand-o-cork so Pac drives into its mouth and comes out the other end, this causes the gargoyle to stop walking on the treadmill and rub its butt in pain.
