Gum Monster (ガム怪獣 Gamu Kaijū) is an enemy in Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures and the SNES version of Pac-In-Time. He is the final boss of both games. He is a huge monster made out of gum that was created by the Ghost Witch of Netor.
In the final mission of Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures, the ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde collect already been chewed gum from children and take them to the factory to create the monster. During the boss battle, the Gum Monster will try to attack Super Pac-Man by swinging his arms or trying to grab Super Pac-Man to seize him. The player needs to repeatedly shoot him in the face to defeat him, and shoot his arms to prevent him from grabbing Pac-Man.
In Pac-In-Time, he is known as the guardian of the portal of time. In boss battle, he attacks by shooting various projectiles or charging at Pac-Man. In order to defeat him, Pac-Man must knock him onto a platform by shooting fireballs at him, and then smacking a switch that will open the platform into a pool of acid.
