Happy Holidays and a Merry Berry Day

Happy Holidays and a Merry Berry Day is the thirteenth episode of Season 2 of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. It aired on December 2, 2014.

Episode Plot[]

"As the holidays approach, Pac gets a surprise visit from his par ents, who are on a “top- secret mission” that compels him to hide them from even his closest friends, who become increasingly suspicious something is very wrong... and they may be very right."

It is Berry Day Eve and various teens race to the Round House and decorate the trees with Sir Cumference, Spiral and Grinder coming in to help out with the decorations. Spiral asks Cylindria how Pac is dealing with the day due to Pac having to save Santa Pac the last time and continuing to miss his parents. Pac then shows up and cartwheels to plug in the lights and is uncharacteristically happy during Berry Day Eve so Spiral and Cyli ask why he is so happy while Skeebo fails to insult him. Pac says he knows it is going to be the best Berry Day ever and continues to clean and ignores the slug cam in the room with Betrayus promising that he will make it the worst Berry Day ever. The Ghost Gang wonder as to why Pac is so happy and theorize that Pac got a girlfriend which causes Pinky to get angry and confront her "ex-boyfriend" for supposedly cheating on her. Pac is still joyous but gets greeted by the Ghost Gang and a mad Pinky who thinks Pac got a new girlfriend but he can't say the reason as to why he's so happy so she sarcastically states that she hopes Pac is happy, much to his confusion as to why she is so mad. Pac goes through Maze 256 where it then cuts to Dr. Buttocks and Betrayus setting up an ambush but Pinky refuses to help Pac out of spite with the rest of her siblings not being able to warn her due to fear of invoking her wrath and thinking their lowly status can't help Pac all that much. Pac runs into some ghosts but makes quick work of them and demands for a tougher challenge. This prompts a wave of ghosts to knock Pac into a wall before slamming him as a ghost anvil and prepare to chomp him only for them to get beamed by Zac and Sunny, much to Pac's delight.

The reunited family embrace each other and Zac tells Pac to not get revealed to anyone until their "secret mission" is done and is too important to casually slip up to enemies. Pac hides his parents in his mouth as Cyli walks by and compliments his decorating skills but they have a hard time communicating due to his full mouth so she walks off with his parents "secret" kept safe with Pac willing to abandon all of his friends before disappointing his parents. Spiral shows up but Pac says his bed is off limits while speaking over himself and forces him to be in Skeebo's dorm which he gives in and instantly regretting it due to Skeebo's loud snoring, mumbling and farts. The next day, Cyli and Spiral investigate the situation and head off into the cafeteria where Pac uncharacteristically resists eating a pie and delivers it to his parents which they promptly eat. Cyli and Spiral notices that the other hatted Pac-Worlder is Zac so she contacts Sir C about as they all head off to the lab. Sunny and Zac claim that no one on Pac-World can know they are back due to their enemies with Sir C questioning what the mission is and what they are hiding from which they cannot say and then says he has several questions such as where they have been which the two parents say they cannot answer again for their own safety. Sir C then questions them about past events such as Sir C saving Zac from an aerial strike which he thanks Sir C for escaping without a scratch but Sir C distinctly remembers that one of the debris had gave him a scar on Berry Day, the last day of the war. Zac denies this by saying he has a bad memory and says he got a scar on his right cheek to which an insulted Sir C angrily forces everyone out of the lab. Zac tells Spiral and Cyli to go about their business and forget him and Sunny, Pac apologizes for their rudeness and says he needs to do one more thing so he and his friends can be one big and happy family. Spiral and Cyli notice that when they went back in time, Zac and Sunny were a lot nicer to them and conclude that something is amiss. Zac then tells Pac to send him to the Tree of Life which Pac refuses to do so Sunny then says if he refuses, the alien devices inside of her and Zac's cells and only a berry that grows once a year can destroy the nanites of the devices inside of them which Pac follows the orders without questioning why they have alien devices or anything else.

Chameleon Pac and his parents sneak past the guards but Spiral and Cyli also sneak past the guards but get caught by security tentacles with Pac bypassing them and showing his parents the Tree of Life. Sir C finds the photo that proves the scar was on the left cheek the whole time and concludes that Betrayus and Dr. Slimestein but isn't able to warn Pac as he lacks a wrist communication device at the moment. Dr. Buttocks and ghosts show up with the former explaining he crated hard-light clones of Pac's parents that were programmed with the info from Betrayus' war journal and news casts with Pac being so desperate for his parents to come back, he'd do anything for them. Dr. Buttocks then makes the fake Zac and Sunny disappear with his laser gun and leads the ghosts to carry away the tree which leads to Pac trying to eat berries but the dispenser was emptied out by his fake parents. Spiral and Cyli arrive but are stopped by Dr. Buttocks who continues to head off with the tree. Pac finally realizes that the story his fake parents gave out were nothing but a lie but Sir C corrects Pac by saying there is a berry that grows once a year being the Glowing Merry Berry to save the tree. The trio head outside and fire Pac out of a cannon and Pac clings onto a branch of the tree with his tongue, he then eats the berry and releases a giant wave of energy that eradicates within its range and eats Dr. Buttocks (and the picture he used to clone his parents) afterwards. Pac then moves the tree to the new location but he still misses his parents until more chunks of the picture fly by and point to the red star between the two moons when suddenly the Ghost Gang show up to report that Betrayus berated Dr. Buttocks for a failed plot yet again and forces him to be an ornament on his tree as punishment. Pinky eventually realizes that Pac wasn't two timing her and wishes Pac happy holidays.
