Manbat

Manbat[1] is an enemy in Pac-Man World and Pac-Man World Re-Pac. It is a large purple bat that carries a bomb with its feet.

Pac-Man World/Pac-Man World Re-Pac[]

Manbat appears as an enemy in all three levels of the Boss Mansion Area. Functionally, it behaves identically to the Parrots from the Pirate Ship Area. It flies back and forth while carrying a bomb. If Pac-Man approaches it, it will either drop the bomb its holding or, if it no longer has a bomb, swoop down towards him.

Defeating it rewards the player with 300 points.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac[]

Manbat appears in Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac as a collectable Gashapon figure. Its figure can be obtained from the "PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC Collection 3" machine in Pac-Village's Arcade.

Appearance[]

In Pac-Man World, Manbat is a purple cartoon bat with a disproportionately large head compared to its wings and legs. As such, some of its facial features are also exaggerated. It has large eyes with small red pupils, elongated nostrils, and a large mouth from which two small fangs protrude. On its back is a line of small black spines that stretches from its head to its lower abdomen.

Manbat has a significantly different design in Pac-Man World Re-Pac and Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac. Its head, now separated from its main body, is now proportionate to the rest of its body features. It no longer has a visible mouth, and its other facial features (such as its nose) have been redesigned to seem more animal-like. As for the rest of its body, it now has fewer spines on its back, and its chest bears black markings that resemble a skull and crossbones.
