Pac-Man Wiki

Minecraft x Pac-Man is a DLC pack for the Bedrock Edition of 2009's Minecraft, released in 2020 to commemorate Pac-Man's 40th anniversary. It features a minigame with 10 mazes to play in, alongside the ability to create custom mazes, as well as an additional "Pac-Man World" to explore/build in.

Playable Characters[]

This world features various playable characters that can be used. Something to note is that these are not Minecraft skins. These characters can only be played exclusively in the Pac-Man world, unlike skins which can be played in any world. Many of these characters must first be unlocked by finding keys in the maze minigame, then using them to unlock doors to explore the city. Characters can be selected by choosing from the Pac-Man Picker in the arcade.

Energizers[]

By reaching different point milestones, you can unlock unique Energizers, or power-ups, to use in the maze minigame. All Energizers turns ghosts vulnerable, allowing players to attack them until time runs out, but each one has different properties. Energizers can be selected by choosing from the Experience Energizer Extractor in the arcade.

  • Power Pellet - Turns ghosts vulnerable, allowing players to eat them until time runs out. Unlocked by default.
  • Flash Freeze - Freezes ghosts in place until time runs out. Unlocked at 1,000 points.
  • Sizzling Storm - Causes lightning to strike around all players, allowing larger range for ghosts to be attacked. Unlocked at 5,000 points.
  • Terrifying TNT - Causes an explosion upon eating a ghost, destroying nearby walls. Unlocked at 10,000 points.
  • Taming Touch - Touching ghosts "tames" them, causing them to chase after other ghosts, taming them when touched. Unlocked at 50,000 points.
  • Burning Beam - Creates a laser beam in front of all players, burning any ghost caught in its path. Unlocked at 100,000 points.
  • Fruity Fortune - Creates a fruit in place of an eaten ghost. Unlocked at 500,000 points.
  • Mining Madness - Destroys all walls touched by players. Unlocked at 1,000,000 points.

Trivia[]

  • In February of 2019, the Pac-Man Twitter account posted a survey that appeared to be comprised of concepts for new Pac-Man mobile games, specifically "crossover" games similar to Pac-Man: Ralph Breaks the Maze.[1] One of the listed franchises was Minecraft; however, this was specifically Minecraft content within Pac-Man, rather than the other way around. It is unknown if feedback from this poll was a factor in Minecraft x Pac-Man's release.
  • The designs of Pac-Baby, Pac-Jr., and Super Pac-Man are based on how they looked in Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures.
    • While Pac-Jr. and Super Pac-Man appear to be based on their promotional artwork, Pac-Baby is based on her in-game appearance, which has white shoes and gloves.
  • The city in Pac-Man World is based on Pacopolis from Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.
  • This is one of the few times Professor Pac-Man is referred to his original name rather than the shortened Professor Pac. The only other times this has been done are the arcade game of the same name and the back cover of Pac-Man All-Stars.
  • Mr. Cookie wears glasses when a player plays as him, but does not wear glasses when displayed in the Pac-Man Picker, nor when you unlock him.
  • Pac-Ranger's hat used to clip through the top of his head. This was fixed in an update.
