Plot[]

"Pac-Man is physically controlled by Betrayus when he swallows a special micro-chip, and Pac’s friends must help him infiltrate the Netherworld spy-style to retrieve the remote controller."

— Official episode description[1]

The episode opens with Pac discovering Spiral and Cylindria preparing a banquet that they claim is for Sir Cumference's birthday party. Pac offers to help by taste testing the food, but his friends politely decline his assistance. This motivates Pac to improve his self-control as he considers himself a role model for others, but he starts taking his goal seriously only after he realizes that he instinctively ate all the food for the banquet.

Meanwhile, Dr. Buttocks presents his latest invention to Betrayus: a microchip that grants control over another individual's movements via remote control. Betrayus is unenthused with the chip until the doctor uses Butt-ler for a demonstration. After getting his superior hooked on the device, Buttocks reveals that he intends to use it to control Pac. His plan is to send a ghost to Pac-World with the microchip and purposefully let Pac eat them. The chip would embed itself on the wall of Pac's gullet, allowing anyone with the remote to control him; furthermore, the microchip itself was coated in a special superglue (another of Buttocks' inventions), making physical removal practically impossible. Betrayus approves of the idea and immediately chooses the Ghost he wants to see get eaten.

After Spiral and Cylindria replace all the eaten food, they give Pac advice on how to improve his self-control. Cylindria tries to motivate Pac by explaining why he should care about controlling his eating habits; she also suggests that Pac stay away from the food, so he forgets about his desire to eat it. Pac follows Cyli's advice and starts walking away from the banquet; however, she and Spiral catch him using his tongue to suck up food from afar. As a result of being caught, Pac is sent to Sir Cumference for help. The elderly scientist gives Pac a much simpler tip: when an impulse arises, say no. Encouraged by Sir C's advice, Pac heads outside to put it into practice.

Meanwhile, Butt-ler roams around Maze High's dorm buildings, lamenting the task thrust upon him by Betrayus, who, along with Dr. Buttocks, is watching a live feed of Pac-World produced by the microchip. When Pac runs into him, Butt-ler begs the yellow Pac-Worlder not to eat him. Pac quickly realizes that this is an opportunity to practice self-control, so instead of eating Butt-ler, he gives him a chance to run away, which he does. Enraged by Butt-ler's decision, Betrayus uses the remote to force his servant into Pac's mouth. Pac tries his best to dodge the suddenly erratic ghost, but he is eventually backed into a corner, where the puppeteered Butt-ler pries his mouth open and forces his way in.

A little while later, Pac returns to the Round House lawn to tell his friends about his new self-control technique. Spiral and Cylindria are naturally skeptical of Pac's plan and question the strength of his willpower. At the same time, Betrayus and Dr. Buttocks prepare to take control of Pac's body. Betrayus uses the remote first, making Pac move in strange, erratic ways. Dr. Buttocks tries to take the remote so he can use it, but this ends up provoking a fight between the two and causing Pac's motions to become more unpredictable. Pac tries asking Spiral and Cylindria for help, but they don't, believing his odd actions to be exercises of self-control. While Betrayus and Buttocks are fighting, the Ghost Gang enter the throne room. Blinky, Pinky, and Inky notice Pac on Betrayus' monitor and assume it's from a reality TV show, but Clyde realizes that Pac is being controlled by the remote. He then convinces his fellow ghosts to warn Pac about it. After they finish squabbling, Betrayus and Dr. Buttocks discuss other ways they can mess with Pac. While Betrayus initially favors making Pac do humiliating things, Buttocks convinces him to use the opportunity to try and destroy the Tree of Life. Betrayus decides to wait until Pac needs to visit the Tree to replenish his Power Berry supply to enact his scheme.

The Ghost Gang catch up to Pac and inform him both of Betrayus' plan; they also tell him that Betrayus can see what he sees but not hear what he hears. Pac figures that eating a Power Berry will undo the effect of whatever is tying him to remote. However, before he can eat one, Spiral tackles his Berry Dispenser away from him. Spiral and Cylindria attempt to confiscate the Berry Dispenser since they believe Pac is forgoing control to fulfill a craving. Pac attempts to explain his predicament to them when Betrayus starts using the remote control again. Seeing Pac act erratically again make Spiral and Cyli consider that something might be wrong. Then, when Pac tries to eat a Power Berry again, Betrayus makes him spill all the Berries onto the ground and stomp on them. It is at this point when Cyli and Spiral fully realize that Pac was telling the truth. With his friends ready to take action, Pac formed a plan: that night, he would sneak into the Netherworld blindfolded, sneak into the Betrayus' Castle, and destroy the remote.

A little while later, the trio set their plan in motion. While Pac attempts to navigate the Netherworld's rocky landscape while blindfolded, he and his friends run into the Ghost Gang. Pac asks one of the Ghosts to help him sneak into Betrayus' Castle; only Pinky ends up volunteering. Frustrated that Pac is apparently in the middle of a deep sleep, Betrayus decides to take a nap of his own. While Betrayus naps, Spiral and Cylindria lower Pac into the throne room using a rope, with Pinky guiding them. At one point, Spiral and Cylindria accidentally let go of the rope, causing Pac to careen towards Betrayus, but they are able to catch it in time. They try to lift Pac back up only for the rope to snap. Pac lands right on top of the sleeping Ghost, but—in another stroke of luck—he did not wake up. Pinky and Pac split up to search for the remote. Pac ends up finding it, but he gets distracted by a box of fried slugs. Despite his efforts to control himself, Pac gives into his craving and eats them all. It is at this point that Betrayus finally wakes up and catches Pac in the act. Betrayus sics Fluffy on the yellow Pac-Worlder, but the three-headed dog was flung out of the room thanks to a giant bungee cord Cyli and Spiral had set up earlier. Pac tries to grab the remote, but Betrayus reaches it first. He starts manipulating Pac's body again; however, because Pac already ate something, the erratic movements give him indigestion, causing him to burp out the microchip. The chip lands on Betrayus' forehead, causing Betrayus to throw the remote. The remote ultimately lands in the hands of Butt-ler, who does not hesitate at the chance to give his master a taste of his own medicine.

When the trio arrive at the party, Spiral and Cylindria reveal that "Sir Cumference's birthday party" was actually a surprise party for Pac. They also allow Pac to abandon self-control and eat as much food as he wants; thus, he does just that.
