Pac-Chomp! is mobile game released in 2011 by Namco Bandai Games. It was removed from digital stores on March 30, 2015, alongside numerous other Pac-Man mobile releases.
Gameplay[]
Pac-Chomp! is a "match 3" puzzle game; each level features a grid-based screen filled with Ghosts, in addition to a single Pac-Man tile. When the player matches three or more ghosts of the same color (via a vertical or horizontal line), they disappear. Clearing multiple ghosts in a quick, consecutive fashion results in large point bonuses. At the bottom of the screen are four "rotate" buttons; pressing these buttons will turn a 5-by-5 block of tiles to the side the rotation button is pointing, shifting the tile locations. Each game level is seemingly completed upon a certain score threshold being cleared.
When four ghosts are matched, a power-up item will appear; the player can guide Pac-Man to eat the item, wiping out ghosts upon collecting it. When five ghosts are matched, a Power Pellet will appear. Eating the pellet will launch Pac-Man into a timed bonus game; the player has full control over Pac-Man in this mode, and can move across the entire playfield. While in the "Power Pellet" state, the player can guide Pac-Man to eat the ghosts, alongside Fruits that act as score multiplayers. Eating remaining power-ups on the screen result in very large amounts of points.
