Pac-Man Wiki

Pac-Eight (パックエイト Pakkueito) is an arcade medal game released by Namco in 1996. It is the sequel to Pac-Slot, which was released in the same year.

Gameplay[]

Like its predecessor, the game is a video slot machine, except this time images can be lined up diagonally. The player can bet up to five times for a better outcome. Pac-Man appears at the bottom of the screen, cheering the player on.

Occasionally Dig Dug will appear on the board, and will blow up a non-matching tile. Pooka and Fygar can also show up, who will mess with the board slightly.

If anything was successfully lined up, the player is taken into an optional "double or nothing" mode, where Pac-Man is in the middle of two mystery objects - one ghost, and one fruit. The player must guess which way Pac-Man can safely eat the fruit. This can continue for as long as the player wishes, and will continue doubling the score - but if they guess incorrectly, no medals will be won.
