Pac-Man Wiki

Pac-Man Alley Ball is an arcade redemption game released in 2015 by Bandai Namco Amusement America. It is an alley roller machine with a Pac-Man theme.

Overview[]

Pac-Man Alley Ball is somewhat of a cross between Skee-Ball and a "Down a Clown"-like carnival game. The player rolls a series of balls down a lane in order to hit Ghost targets; hitting a ghost will flip it over and turn it blue. The player is given 9 balls to hit 9 ghosts; Clydes are worth 400 points, Inkys are 700 points, and Blinkys are 900 points. The machine features artwork based on Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures (while using pixel sprites for the Ghosts), and uses remixed music and sound effects based on the original Pac-Man arcade game.

Trivia[]

  • While the game appears to have been officially released in the U.S., it does not appear to have been featured on the Bandai Namco Amusement America website; suggesting it may have had limited distribution. This trait is shared with Pac-Man Ghost Bowling, a similar redemption game.
  • While Pac-Man Alley Ball was technically released in Japan, it did not enter full production in the region; with only select, Namco-operated arcades featuring the machine (such as Pac-Man Zone locations).
