Pac-Man Ghost Bowling, also known as Pac-Man Ghostly Bowling in later reprints,[1] is an arcade redemption game released in 2013 (?) by Bandai Namco Amusement America. It is an alley roller or Skee-Ball-based game with a Pac-Man theme.
Overview[]
Pac-Man Ghost Bowling is rebranded from another machine known as just "Ghost Bowling", originally produced by Golden Dragon of GuangZhou.[2][3] The Pac-Man version adds branding based on Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, while reusing the same color scheme and design shape of the original game.
The machine features a somewhat small, curved lane, making it much shorter in length than a standard Skee-Ball machine (being roughly two-thirds the size in direct comparison). Up to three machines can be linked together, with specialty toppers available to go across larger rows of cabinets.
Trivia[]
- While the game appears to have been officially released in the U.S., it does not appear to have been featured on the Bandai Namco Amusement America website; suggesting it may have had limited distribution. This trait is shared with Pac-Man Alley Ball, a similar redemption game.
- When shown at IAAPA 2012, Pac-Man Ghost Bowling was displayed as being "under construction", and still featured the side artwork of the original Ghost Bowling.[4]
