Pac-Man Puzzle, also known in Japan as Pac-Man DE Puzzle (パックマンDEパズル Pakkuman DE Pazuru), is a mobile game released in 2001 by Namco.
Gameplay[]
The player must place a series of maze tiles to form a path for Pac-Man on an open, 8-by-8 square grid. Pac-Man will move automatically once all tiles have been placed, and will turn at a corner upon bumping into the player's set tiles. Each stage features a layout of Pac-Dots, and occasionally Ghosts; the player must guide Pac-Man to collect all of the dots while avoiding hitting ghosts. There are 50 levels total, with increasingly challenging puzzles as the game continues.
The game uses sprites modeled after the original Pac-Man arcade game; it features no music or sound effects.
Trivia[]
- The game would be followed by Mappy DE Puzzle, a mobile game based on the Mappy series.
- The Japanese version of the game would later be included in the EZWeb Pac-Man Pack compilation, which also includes the original Pac-Man.
