Pac-Man Star Wars was a proposal for a mobile game, originally formed in 2015 by Invictus Games. A crossover between Pac-Man and Star Wars, little information is known about the game outside of a set of four concept screens; these images were published online by artist Laszlo Palfi in 2024. The game concept was presumably pitched towards Bandai Namco Entertainment and/or Lucasfilm; ultimately, the game was never produced.
Pac-Man Star Wars was pitched alongside another crossover mobile game, Pac-Man Slingshot. It is unclear what involvement (if any) that Bandai Namco held with either title; though it should be noted that Invictus Games were lead developers on Pac-Man Friends, an officially released Pac-Man game from 2014.
Trivia[]
- The filenames on Palfi's image uploads refer to the game as "pacmanfriends"; this suggests the game may have been conceived as a separate "edition" of Pac-Man Friends, similar to Angry Birds Star Wars.
- One of the Pac-Man Star Wars mock-up screenshots shows a black-and-white Pac-Person standing next to two laser panels. This character was unused in Pac-Man Friends (despite having full sprites left over); the document may suggest that he was intended to use the laser panels as his special ability.
- All the levels are reskins of Pac-Man Friends levels except for the one featuring the scrapped black-and-white Pac-Person, this could suggest it was going to appear in a upcoming episode before the game was delisted.
