Pac-Man SuperFast (also stylized as Pac-Man SuperFast!) is a YouTube Playable remake of the original Pac-Man game. It was developed by RedFox Games and released on YouTube in 2024.
Gameplay[]
Pac-Man SuperFast is a remake of the original Pac-Man arcade game. This version of the game has a feature where, over time, the speed of Pac-Man and the Ghosts will increase up to two times in a level, additionally changing the color of the maze. In the original release, later stages of the game would cause the maze colors to flash quickly, with effects becoming more and more spontaneous and fast as the game goes on. The game itself gave no warnings, but it could be very dangerous to players who have epilepsy. An update on November 15th changed these mazes to use different solid colors instead, removing the epileptic risk of playing the later half of the game. The update additionally changed the stickers used on the various colored borders of the game, most noticeable with the black style.
The game has a total of 13 levels, with the starting speed increasing with each one. After beating level 13, the game ends, with the player being given a Congratulations screen and a display of their score on a leaderboard, and a prompt to replay the game. Each stage has its own fruit, with their scores increasing with the level number. The fruit in order are Cherry, Strawberry, Orange, Apple, Melon, Eggplant, Banana, Donut, Rocketship, Bell, Key, and Fox. Stage 13 has life powerups instead of fruit, which give no points and look like a stylized Pac-Man head. An extra life is given every 5000 points no matter how many times it has been reached or how far the player has gotten into the game.
Game Speeds[]
As aforementioned, it is warned by players that epilepsy or seizure-inducing concerns may apply from later speeds' flashing effects (especially the rapid-paced "Maniac" and "Doom" speeds, which appear particularly dangerous). With the update that came out awhile after, the maze colors have been changed to be less dangerous.

Trivia[]
- A European trademark registry for Pac-Man Superfast was filed in August of 2023.[1] The game was otherwise not publicly announced until its release in October 2024.
- Rather than using the original pixel sprites, all of the in-game graphics are rounded vectors (similar to some 2010s promotional assets). A similar graphic style was used in the Roku TV port of Pac-Man.
- The Fox bonus item appears to be in reference to the game's development studio, RedFox Games.
