Pac-Man Swirl is an arcade redemption game released in 2014 by Bandai Namco Amusement America. It is based on the 2000 arcade game Slam-A-Winner in gameplay; the player must drop balls into holes on a revolving playfield, earning a set amount of tickets depending on where the ball lands. The machine plays sound effects from Pac-Man Championship Edition.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the majority of Pac-Man redemption games released during the early-to-mid 2010s, Pac-Man Swirl does not use assets based on Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures; instead using simplistic rounded Pac-Man graphics.
- While Pac-Man Swirl was technically released in Japan, it did not enter full production in the region; with only select, Namco-operated arcades featuring the machine (such as Pac-Man Zone locations).
- Some online listings for the game label it as "Pac-Man Swirl DX".[1] It is unknown if this is an alternate version of the game or just a labeling error.
