Overview
Here is a basic overview of some rules that apply to this wiki.
Editing Rules
Some common editing mistakes that may result in administrative action:
- No fanon or fan-made content should be added to the main wiki pages. However, this type of content is allowed in the "Discuss" area.
- Do not overly edit specific pages (e.g. having 10+ edits on one page within 24 hours).
- Try to not directly plagiarize wiki content from other sources.
- Do not create pages that are entirely blank, especially if under the title of an actual, wiki-related subject.
- In the case of a removal of a wiki edit by an administrator, do not repeatedly add the edit back. The reasoning for the removal will either apply to an above rule, or be stated in the edit's description.
While these are not considered enforced "rules", the following editing guidelines are also advised:
- It is encouraged to edit while logged in to a Pac-Man Wiki/FANDOM account. If logged-out edits are confusing in nature - since there is no way to directly communicate with the user - they will generally be removed.
- Some sources are blacklisted from being used as citation on the Pac-Man Wiki. While it is not the users' responsibility to know these sources, be aware that certain citations may be replaced/removed.
Blocking
User blocks will occur due to reasons such as the following:
- Users repeatedly adding back their administrator-deleted content
- Creating sockpuppet accounts to circumvent an already existing block
- Excessively removing information, or blanking out pages entirely
- Any form of spam, gibberish, or other forms of trolling
