Pac-Motos (パックモトス Pakkumotosu) is a video game developed by Namco Bandai Games in 2007, as part of Namco Museum Remix (and later, Namco Museum Megamix). The game is a spin-off of both the Pac-Man and Motos series, with Pac-Man as the protagonist.
Gameplay[]
The player controls Pac-Man, and must knock all of the enemies off of the stage in order to complete the level, much like the original Motos. The player must traverse through five different worlds, each comprised of seven stages. The seventh stage features a boss piloted by either member of the Ghost Gang, and must be defeated in order to proceed to the next world.
Several rounds contain power-ups, which include:
- Power Parts - Increases Pac-Man's power to push the enemies off of the platform.
- Jump Parts - Gives Pac-Man a feather cap (à la Pac 'n Roll) and allows him to jump, which will crack the tiles of the stage as if a shooting star hits it.
- Charge Parts - Pac-Man dons a knight helmet (à la Pac 'n Roll) and is able to charge into enemies.
These power-ups may be collected in a stage, where they are added to a stash of sorts. They can be selected at any time. Increasing the number of a kind of parts you equip will increase the effectiveness of the power-up.
Trivia[]
- The game's bosses and levels are nearly identical to the ones used in Motos Arrangement, a 2006 game released as part of the Japan-only Namco Museum Vol. 2 compilation for the PSP. And since Namco Museum Vol. 2 (PSP) has been released in 2006, and with the other one in 2007, Pac-Motos probably uses the same engine as Motos Arrangement.
