The episode opens with Pac playing a match of Pac-Pong against Spiral during gym class. Skeebo suddenly barges into the game to try to humiliate Pac, but before he can even serve, Pac swiftly wipes the floor with him. The spat between the two is cut short by the gym teacher, who announces that a famous Pac-Pong champion had agreed to coach the class for the upcoming Pacolympics tryouts. Said champion turns out to be none other than Spheria Suprema, otherwise known as Pac's aunt. An already ecstatic Cylindria, quite possibly Spheria's biggest fan, becomes even more excited when she puts two and two together and realizes her idol knows who she is.

In spite of her enthusiasm, Cyli still angrily asks Pac why he didn't tell her earlier. Spheria approaches her and explains that she had to keep a low profile following her retirement from the sport. The gym teacher then shows the class an old film of Spheria's most famous match, a tournament-defining game against the only Pac-Worlder who had come close to beating her. The trio are flabbergasted when they realize that Spheria's opponent was Betrayus. The match was close, with both competitors needing to score a point to win, but, in the end, Spheria pulled off the winning serve. Betrayus attempted to dispute his loss, claiming that the ball had hit the net, but the official, Spheros, knew better than take his brother's word, thus declaring Spheria the winner. As the audience showered Spheria with praise, Betrayus curled up in a corner and cried, still convinced that Spheria's win was illegitimate. At that very moment, in the Netherworld, Betrayus, having curled himself up on his throne, is crying, "Spheria cheated," over and over. When the Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde enter the throne room, they wonder what has gotten into their leader. Dr. Buttocks shows up and explains to them that the recent news of the Pacolympics had triggered bad memories of a certain Pac-Pong match for Betrayus. He even reveals that Betrayus had a crush on Spheria at the time, which enraged the fire ghost so much that he serves a flaming ball towards the mad scientist. While Betrayus continues to whine about his defeat, Clyde, without thinking, mentions the possibility of holding a rematch. Betrayus immediately approves of the idea and starts plotting his revenge.

Back at the gym, Spheria attempts to use one of the school's more modern hoverboards. Although she has trouble maneuvering on it at first, and causes a lot of property damage in the process, she gets the hang of it pretty quickly. Pac attempts to help her, but the only thing he ends up accomplishing is getting himself hurt. Shortly afterwards, Spheria challenges him, Spiral, and Cylindria to a 3-on-1 Pac-Pong match. Although she seems outmatched, Spheria is quick to prove her skill at the game, scoring three effortless serves. All of a sudden, the gym teacher tells her that there's something she has to see on the gym's television. She turns away from the table and finds herself staring at Betrayus, who—with Dr. Buttocks' assistance—has hijacked Pac-World's airwaves. Betrayus is quick to state his desire for a rematch against Spheria. Although Spheria remains collected at first, she loses her temper after the fire ghost accuses her of cheating in their last and of being too old to win their next one. Fearing the worst, Pac clutches to his aunt, desperately trying to stop her from accepting.

Pac and Spiral try to dissuade Spheria, asserting that Betrayus is far more powerful as a ghost, but Cylindria encourages her to restore her tarnished reputation. Suddenly, a news crew enters the gym to ask Spheria for her thoughts on Betrayus' challenge. The Pac-Pong champion attempts to make a statement, but Pac covers her mouth before she can say anything. Then, the Ghost Gang enter the gym waving a white ghost of surrender; they state that they're here to get Spheria's answer for Betrayus. At this point, Spheria has had enough. She grabs the camera from the news crew and announces that she accepts Betrayus' challenge. The fire Ghost is incredibly giddy about getting the chance to humiliate his rival; in fact, he gets so excited that he runs out of breath. Realizing that he is out of shape, Betrayus asks Dr. Buttocks to create a work out regimen for him, but first, he heads to Ogle's stand to get himself a drink.

The trio make their way into Sir Cumference's lab, where they find Spheria helping the elderly scientist take parts from the Pac-a-cini to use for his new invention. Dubbed the Pac-Pong Whacker Smacker, Sir C designed it specifically to help Spheria train for her match. This disappoints Pac, who had planned to ask Sir Cumference to dissuade his aunt from going through with the match. Sir C then brings the group outside to have the Whacker Smacker train Spheria. As soon as it's turned on, the machine spits out a flurry of Pac-Pong balls; while most of the group is forced to take cover, Spheria is able to handle the pressure. She hits back every ball that the Whacker Smacker launches and is even able to best the machine. Everyone congratulates Spheria for her performance except for Pac, who worries that his aunt will meet a similar fate to his parents. Upon hearing his fears, Spheria reassures him that nothing bad will happen to her as long as he is around to defend her. Meanwhile, in the Netherworld, Spheria's rival takes a more leisurely approach to training. Although Dr. Buttocks did finish preparing the workout regimen, Betrayus ends up forcing him and Butt-ler to do all the work instead.

Spheria and her allies travel to the Netherworld, so she can participate in the rematch. The match is a 1-on-1 with Dr. Buttocks serving as the official. It doesn't take long for Spheria to land a serve that Betrayus misses; however, while Spheria is distracted, the ball suddenly flies back to her side of the table. She is unable to stop it in time, netting Betrayus his first point. Betrayus claims this unexpected event was the result of his superior skills, but, in reality, Butt-ler hit the ball back. Despite having additional help, Betrayus is unable to keep up with Spheria, allowing her to build up a steady lead. Thus, Betrayus resorts to more methods of cheating, such as having a Ghost steal the ball before Spheria can serve it or having Butt-ler cover her eyes in slime. In response, Pac makes the playing field level again by gobbling Butt-ler and stealing Buttocks' glasses so that he can't serve as official. The lead swaps hands multiple times until, just like their last encounter, the match comes down to a tie, with either player needing just one point to win. Fortunately, Spheria's final serve is so strong that not even Betrayus' paddle could keep it from flying across the course. With that, Spheria wins the rematch and cements her place in Pac-Pong history.

Betrayus is so infuriated at his defeat that he refuses to let Spheria—or her allies—leave until he's declared the victor. All of the Ghosts present in the stadium gang up on the Pac-Worlders, but, unfortunately for them, the group immediately fights back. Pac consumes a Fire Berry and starts torching the Ghosts. Meanwhile, Spheria holds the Ghosts back by serving Pac-Pong balls at them, and Spiral and Cylindria contain the Ghosts with their PSCs. As the group makes their escape, Sir Cumference activates his Pac-Pong Whacker Smacker. The machine's Pac-Pong balls drives the crowd of Ghosts away; it even starts walking Betrayus with its paddles. With the Ghosts sufficiently distracted, the Pac-Worlders return to the surface. Back at Maze High's gym, Spheria highlights the two important lessons of the day: "Cheaters never prosper," and "Once a champion, always a champion." She reiterates her promise to coach Pac and his class for the Pacolympics, and she starts by immediately throwing Pac, Spiral, and Cyli into a match, much to their surprise. Meanwhile, Betrayus is once again weeping over his defeat, this time placing the blame on Butt-ler. The purple ghost sarcastically quips about the silliness of the accusation, before quietly gloating about having seen Betrayus' defeat firsthand.
