Pac-Man Wiki

Pac-Slot (パックスロット Pakkusurotto) is an arcade medal game released by Namco in 1996. It is a video slot machine that dispenses medals.

Gameplay[]

The player must line up three of the same image next to each other, and if done correctly, they will win the corresponding amount of medals. The player can bet up to three times for a better outcome. Pac-Man appears at the bottom of the screen, cheering the player on.

The Ghosts will frequently mess with the slots, making the machine suddenly speed up when it is about to land, or blocking the screen entirely. This does not seem to change the actual outcome, just confuse the player slightly.

If anything was successfully lined up, the player is taken into an optional "double or nothing" mode, where they bet on if Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man will be landed on. This can continue for as long as the player wishes, and will continue doubling the score - but if they guess incorrectly, no medals will be won.

Trivia[]

  • A sequel to this game, Pac-Eight, was released later the same year.
