Pac-World was a canceled game for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn, in development by Climax in 1995. A development disc with various early assets (but no playable data) has been found.[1]

Overview[]

Pac-World was to be an isometric 3D game; Pac-Man has to collect Power Pellets and various other power-ups in order to beat the boss at the end of each stage. There were going to be ten levels, with three sub-games.

The exact details of Pac-World's development are unknown, and the game was never announced to the public. Information on the game was obtained from an archive of development materials, reportedly originating from Dave Taylor (a programmer who worked on games such as Doom and Quake). A few pictures of Pac-World from this archive were shown publicly (including screenshots and design documents); however, the full contents of the archive were never released.[1]
