Santa Pac (episode)

"Santa Pac" is the 23rd episode of the 2nd season in Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. It premiered on September 5th, 2015.

Plot[]

"Betrayus plans to put an end to PacWorld's[sic] most festive holiday by getting rid of the holiday's icon – Santa Pac."

It is Berry Day Eve but Pac is sad because Berry Day makes him miss his parents even more. Spiral shows up and starts talking about Santa Pac giving everyone the best gifts but Pac still misses his parents but Cylindria cheers him up which makes Pac make a quip on who doesn’t like Berry Day. It then cuts to the Netherworld where the Ghost Gang frantically try to stop the celebration to prevent the ire of Betrayus who appears and vows to destroy the holiday.

Betrayus watches the TV and complains how much Berry Day makes the Pac-Worlders happy, especially his brother and proceeds to go on a tirade on how much he detests the holiday even more before Dr. Buttocks reminds him of Santa Pac. This causes Betrayus to scream so loudly that he scares two ghosts and a dragon. It then cuts to Pacopolis where Spiral and Cyli joyously sing on how much fun everyone is having on Berry Day. Pac then sees a box from Aunt Spheria telling him to open it right now, Spiral warns him about doing so but Pac ignores the warning, revealing a picture of him as a baby with his parents which causes Cyli to reminisce all the previous Berry Days she had as a kid. She then proceeds to tell her story that her family was with the family spirit and she would place flowers onto the tree instead of the golden berry, much to the confusion of both Pac and Spiral where Cyli then jokes that if a couple are Starchild and Moondog, it is a flower instead.

Spiral then chimes in by saying that his Berry Days were different from her’s as his family’s holiday decorating business was incredibly busy during that time and that his parents decorated him as Santa Pac, much to the delight of all the shoppers and Pac and Cyli. Pac then chimes in on how Aunt Spheria went all out on the holidays even though he was too young to remember so he instead decides to reminisce on how he time traveled on the Pac-a-cini to meet his parents and how that felt like Berry Day to him. It then cuts to the Netherworld where Specter fails to make Betrayus laugh and promptly is zapped off stage by Dr, Buttocks where a line of ghosts are begrudgingly doing comedy routines to cheer up Betrayus. It then cuts to montage of various ghosts trying to entertain Betrayus. Starting with a Cyclops Ghost making a balloon ghost, an Ice Ghost farting with his arm, a mime ghost, a green ghost doing a puppet show, a sea ghost playing a guitar and a juggling ghost with all of them being zapped off stage, leaving only the Ghost Gang left.

Pinky then berates Dr. Buttocks and Betrayus on how it’s not their faults for Berry Day happening and that Betrayus shouldn’t be torturing all of the ghosts. Betrayus says he does this because he can. Clyde accidentally gives the idea of killing Santa Pac, the poor choice of words causes Betrayus to do exactly that. Betrayus then gloats about this new idea on getting rid of Berry Day for good, which Clyde objects to because it would make all of the children of Pacopolis sad which falls on deaf ears as Betrayus says he was never good and proceeds to double down by annihilating Berry Day as a whole as well.

The Ghost Gang are downtrodden by this act before the scene cuts to Pacopolis about to sleep and Sir Cumference keeping an eye out for Santa Pac with everyone is excited to see the real Santa Pac. Pac wonders why Santa Pac visits Sir C. where it’s revealed that they know each other and that Sir C. is the only person who works on his sleigh.

It then cuts to the ghosts tracking down Santa Pac who promptly arrives and confronts them. He then tells Dr. Buttocks that he will give him a “gift” which ends up being a laser gun and his three Round Deer ready to fight the ghosts but soon gets overpowered when a Tentacle Ghost takes away his gun. Cyli wonders what is taking Santa Pac so long but suddenly the Ghost Gang proceeds to inform everyone what Betrayus wants to do with Santa Pac where Clyde cries so hard he splits apart. Pac tells the others to stay behind in case of Betrayus doing more wrongdoing where Pinky tells him that’s exactly what is happening where it then cuts to various ghosts possessing the ornaments and gifts to wreak havoc in Pacopolis. Cyli, Spiral and Sir C. fight off the ghosts but are outnumbered as Betrayus gets all of presents for himself.

Somehow, Pac has gotten into the Netherworld and sneaks around to find the Round Deer tied up and proceeds to eavesdrop on Betrayus before heading off to help Santa Pac who tells him that he shouldn’t have came here as he gets ambushed by Betrayus and his ghost army as he demands his power berries which Pac reluctantly gives up.

It then cuts to Betrayus laughing while Santa Pac and Pac are caged up together, Pac considers giving up but Santa Pac tells him that he shouldn’t as if he keeps on believing in the joy and magic of Berry Day, nothing can destroy it. Betrayus then taunts the two by saying that the Pac-Worlders will be very sad as he then proceeds to see them miserable about their area being slimed and no Santa Pac to deliver gifts as he gleefully laughs at them. Despite the lack of gifts and ruined home, the Pac-Worlders still keep their spirits high with their Merry Berry Day continuing with a grand party.

Pac is amazed by the Berry Day spirit continuing to bring joy despite how much damage was done to Pacopolis yesterday while Betrayus is confused as to why they are so happy. Santa Pac explains to him that Berry Day isn’t the things people get but celebrating their loved ones. Betrayus cannot comprehend the joy Pac has and is hysterical upon seeing him so happy as Dr. Buttocks then shows up to mock Betrayus, which sends him into a rage where he starts throwing fireballs, and accidentally destroys the cage, freeing Pac and Santa-Pac.

Dr. Buttocks then shows up and tries to eat a berry, only for him to spit it out and get told by Pac that he swapped real berries with the ornaments because he knew Dr. Buttocks would outsmart him. Dr. Buttocks then gets scared and frozen by Ice Pac, roasted by Betrayus’ fireball and then eaten by Ice Pac. Ice Pac and Santa Pac then defeat Fluffy but not before Santa Pac gives him three bones as he was a very good dog this year. Santa Pac frees the Round Deer and charges into Betrayus before heading off into the sky where Pac then wraps his tongue around all the presents and sends them back into Santa Pac’s sack.

It then cuts to Pacopolis where Santa Pac returns with Pac with the latter making his tongue into a vacuum and slurping all of the remaining slime off of the area while the former uses his magic to bring back all of the decoration as all of the Pac-Worlders celebrate Berry Day in full. The Ghost Gang look at all the happy Pac-Worlders enjoying their Berry Day but are saddened to be left out until Santa Pac shows up to give everyone a gift as the others helped out a pac-man. Santa Pac gives Pac the very last gift, which appears to be nothing but Santa Pac comforts Pac by saying it will come to him in due time before taking off. It then goes to Pac’s living dorm where he appears to be ready to slurp on the eggnog again but stops himself so they can get it too; he then suddenly gets sad when he once again remembers that he has no family but gets comforted when he gets told that he is part of Cyli and Spiral’s families. However, that’s not all the family he’s in as Sir C., Aunt Spheria, Grinder, Grindette, Spheros, Fuzbitz and various classmates show up to celebrate Berry Day with him as he looks at Santa Pac leave.

The party ends and Pac says it’s the best Berry Day he can remember but wishes he can spend it with his parents next year before falling asleep. A Slug Cam shows up spying on him and ominously says “Next year”.

It is revealed that Butt-ler was a good Pac-Worlder when he was alive but Dr. Buttocks was mostly bad.
It is also revealed that the only good Netherworldians are Ogle, Fluffy and Clyde.
