Sleeping Ghosts (眠っている幽霊 Nemutte iru yūrei) are ghosts found only in Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, 2, and Pac-Man 99. They are stationary when sleeping but will be woken up when Pac-Man passes somewhere near them. They will then form a Ghost Train with any other ghosts that are awake.
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX[]
When a Sleeping Ghost wakes up, if a Ghost Train hasn't started yet, it will start one. Once a Bonus Fruit is eaten, all Sleeping Ghosts will be sent away, and a new row of Sleeping Ghosts will show up (normally).
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 (PLUS)[]
There will be multiple Sleeping Minions in a maze in some modes, and when they're woken up, they will go to different Ghosts in the maze (Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde, or a Green Ghost used in PLUS 2P)
