Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a racing game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega, released on September 25, 2025. The game is a spinoff in the Sonic the Hedgehog series; it includes DLC content based on other franchises, including the Pac-Man series.
Pac-Man collaboration[]
On August 19, 2025, Pac-Man and the Team Ghost were announced as DLC guest characters for the game, along with the Pac-Man Mobile as a vehicle, Pac-Village and the Maze as a racetrack, and an album for the game's Jukebox. The Pac-Man Pack DLC was released on January 7, 2026.[1] A Pac-Man Festival with a special Turn-To-Blue horn and arcade Pac-Man stickers (Pac-Man, Blinky, Turn-To-Blue, Cherry, Bell and Key) ran from January 8, 2026 to January 11, 2026. The teams in the Festival are labelled as Team Pac-Man, Team Blinky, and Team Turn-To-Blue, and titles that can be earned are “WAKA WAKA” and “PAC-MAN Master”.

The Pac-Man Mobile is heavily inspired by the Namco Pac-Man car in Ridge Racer V.
- The Pac-Man Mobile is heavily based on the vehicle Pac-Man uses in Ridge Racer V, which in turn is inspired by the vehicle Pac-Man uses in promotional Japanese advertisements and merchandise released in the 1980s.
- Unique to the Pac-Village & Maze stage stage, regular Rings are replaced with Pac-Dots.
- In the Pac-Village section of the Pac-Village and Maze course, one of the enemy ghosts that appear within the course is a Clown Ghost; notably, this ghost is an enemy in Pac-Man World Re-Pac, but not in Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac.
- Although they do not make a physical appearance, the Clown Ghost is represented in Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac via a collectable Gashapon figure.
- As with the Pac-Village in Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, the Arcade features arcade machines of Pac-Man, Pac-Mania and Pac-Attack, with screenshots from their respective games. Additionally, the Jukebox, Gashapon, and Galaxian Maze machine can be seen within the Arcade.
- The Maze section of Pac-Village & Maze features a pixelated aesthetic for the maze and characters, similar to the visuals of Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 and the 2015 film Pixels.
- The Maze section of Pac-Village & Maze is a direct replica of the original Pac-Man maze layout.
- The Pac-Man festival’s main image in the news section features the cover artwork for Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac.
- In the Pac-Man festival, two of the possible Donpa Ticket rewards are 765 Donpa Tickets, a reference to the Namco number.
