Sprites of the Super Pellet from Super Pac-Man
Super Pellets are special pellets that first appeared in Super Pac-Man. They have the same appearance as Power Pellets, but their color is Lime Green. In each of their appearances, they have a different function.
Super Pac-Man[]
Super Pellets debut in this game, allowing Pac-Man to transform into Super Pac-Man. They allow Pac-Man to pass through the ghosts, but he can't eat them unless he has also used a Power Pellet.
Pac-Mania[]
Super Pellets have a completely different function in Pac-Mania. Instead of granting Pac-Man the ability to pass through ghosts, they give him more speed for a few seconds.
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2[]
The Super Pellet only appears in the Boss Stages in Adventure Mode. At the last maze of each boss level, a Super Pellet will appear once Pac-Man eats the required amount of Pac-Dots. The Super Pellet in this game looks nothing like the original expanding green dot, instead looking like a supercharged Power Pellet.
Super Smash Bros. series[]
Pac-Man with a Super Pellet and Power Pellet in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Pac-Man eats both a Super Pellet and a Power Pellet to transform into Super Pac-Man upon using his Final Smash.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Super Pellet itself does not appear during this animation, but the Super Pellet's sound cue from Super Pac-Man is still present during the transformation sequence.
