The Shadow of the Were-Pac

The Shadow of the Were-Pac is the twelfth episode of Season 2 of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.

Episode Plot[]

"President Spheros decides to throw the spookiest Halloween party ever, but a series of mysterious Were-Pac attacks take scary to new heights, so Pac and pals must become super sleuths."

President Spheros is getting the help of Pac, Spiral and Cylindria to set up his Halloween party and insists that all of the details of it must be perfect to give everyone a good scare with all of the decorations as a slug cam spies on Spheros and him wanting to invite everyone. Betrayus then complains about how his brother got the better treatment in his life while he didn't get good treatment when he was alive and dead, it then cuts to a flashback of Spheros trick-or-treating and getting a bunch of candy while Betrayus gets the door slammed on him and covered in mustard. Fluffy then scratches a bunch of fleas onto Betrayus and causes him to itch in pain and inspires Dr. Buttocks to come up with an idea.

Pac is telling Spiral and Cyli scary stories so Cyli decides to tell her own until they hear a loud howl which scares all of them before they ask other people who describe this monster as a Were-Pac that left behind giant footprints. Sir Cumference confirms the footprints to be a direct match and sets off to find it with his companions. Fuzbitz smells out the scent of the Were-Pac and see a mother with her crying child who had her ice cream stolen, they then use a beam on the Were-Pac only for it to be Fuzbitz which causes everyone to get annoyed before they resume on their quest to find the monster. They then find the Were-Pac who was on the roof of a building before heading into the burger shack but they weren't able to reach it in time. Spheros is getting his makeup done so widespread panic doesn't ruin his party, he then announces that the Were-Pac is a Halloween prank to calm down the public and then orders his men to protect him live on air before correcting himself and unintentionally inspires Skeebo to do a prank of his own. Everyone has lost the trail of the Were-Pac and tired out as Sir C warns about the twin moons being full tomorrow.

The night arrives with no one appearing to be wary about a monster on the loose with Pac being more focused on the candy he can eat. Skeebo then hides in the bushes to scare Pac with the Were-Pac he had crafted himself which confuses the trio into thinking its the actual Were-Pac only for Pac to quickly realize the ruse and scare Skeebo off but they still find more footprints leading to a scared Skeebo scratching himself. Spheros locks up Skeebo under the suspicion of him being the Were-Pac but Sir C says the evidence was circumstantial but says its best to leave Skeebo locked up while Spheros only cares about his party continuing. In the Netherworld, Betrayus is crying about how he never got any treats but only the tricks which shows young Betrayus failing to drop a bucket of mustard on Spheros and getting attacked by his men even though he wasn't a president yet. Dr. Buttocks sneaks into Spheros' party to see everyone having a good time as he then confronts Sir C who confuses him to be someone in a costume and insults him before they hear Spiral scream and the Were-Pac's howl as they try to look for it again only to find that Cyli was tagged by Spiral which leads to Sir C concluding she is the Were-Pac and orders Grinder to take her tag away where they hear yet another howl to which everyone goes after again. Betrayus continues venting to Fluffy on how his mean mother would always make him dress up in that mustard suit all the way to adulthood and get progressively messier and that he cannot stand the taste of the mustard still.

Pac and Cyli go after the trail that leads to the Were-Pac and then an itchy Spiral in a bathtub until Sir C notices the red markings on him. Regardless, Spheros' men still take him as a suspect as the monster with everyone going against him until they hear yet another howl and everyone runs out of the building as Dr. Buttocks then locks down all of the doors where Pac and Sir C hear another howl and Were-Pac shadow that leads to an agent scratching himself like a dog and then to Spheros scratching himself to get rid of a flea that leaps onto Pac and turns him into the Were-Pac which allows Sir C to discover that the flea was the culprit behind the Were-Pacs and imagines how Dr. Buttocks used an enhancing beam on the flea to alter the DNA inside of it for when it bites on someone (which was mostly accurate according to Dr. Buttocks). This flea went from victim to victim to turn them into the monster with the effect always wearing off before they can find the culprit but fears that due to Pac's special powers, he might be stuck in the form of a Were-Pac for longer so he comes up with a plan to capture Pac in this state to prevent the transformations from continuing. Spiral and Cyli try to tie him up in a chain but he ties them up instead so Sir C asks the two to put a red berry inside of Pac's mouth and devise a plan to use various traps to make him run into the berry. Spiral blows air into Were-Pac leading him to get scared by the spiders to make him slip on some slime to get thrown by a giant skeletal hand into two coffins that scare him with dummy ghosts and get trapped in spider webs so he can eat the berry to shrink him as a transformation can be used to counter another transformation. Because that Pac is now small, he is the right size to fight the flea who fights him by kicking small rocks which Pac knocks back before scaling up Spiral and jump off onto some straws as he continues to chase it with his tongue as it goes through some straws but gets caught and placed in a vial, much to the frustration of Dr. Buttocks who intends to flee but Pac goes back to his normal size and eats him but not before giving the flea back to Buttocks and Betrayus.

Spheros is happy that Betrayus' failed plan made his party a scary Halloween party after all which causes Betrayus to start sulking again and goes to Fluffy for comfort and accidentally releasing the flea on himself and turning into a Were-Pac and having Fluffy attack him as a result while he complains that no one likes him. Skeebo is still locked inside and plays a harmonica.
