Toc-Man's Lair is the final level and a boss realm in Pac-Man World and its remake, Pac-Man World Re-Pac. The level features Toc-Man fighting Pac-Man. This particular level reveals the reappearance of the family and friends of Pac-Man, and is only unlocked in the original once all of Pac-Man's friends have been freed.
Description[]
The boss battle with Toc-Man has three phases. Throughout the battle, three ghosts will wander across the arena. When Pac-Man gets hurt down to only one health wedge, a friend will appear and refill his health back to full; this can be done six times.
In the first phase, Toc-Man throws electric bolts at Pac-Man. Every second throw, 10 Pac-Dots (at most) will be thrown with the bolts, for a total of 31. Pac-Man must collect the Pac-Dots; once they are all collected, he must throw them at Toc-Man. Less Pac-Dots will appear if Pac-Man successfully hits Toc-Man several times. Once done, Toc-Man will be pulled to the center of the arena, where Pac-Man can use the newly-appearing stairs to butt bounce on him.
In the second phase, Toc-Man will repeatedly butt bounce across the arena, emitting shockwaves that will harm Pac-Man if he is on the ground; Pac-Man must be in the air to avoid these. Pac-Man's goal in the second phase is to hit four switches located across the edges of the arena. When all four switches are activated, Toc-Man will be pulled back into the center, allowing Pac-Man to butt bounce him. This must be repeated four times to move to the final phase.
In the third and final phase, Toc-Man will attempt to rev roll into Pac-Man. Pac-Man must be especially careful to dodge these rev rolls, as a failure to do so will flatten him and harm him; there is also a chance it could send him flying out of the arena. When Toc-Man finishes his rev roll, he will be temporarily stunned; while he is stunned, Pac-Man must rev roll into him to take away a health point. Doing this five times will defeat Toc-Man and complete the game.
Re-Pac[]
In Pac-Man World Re-Pac, The arena is replaced with skeletons that will wander across he arena. When Pac-Man gets hurt down to only one health wedge, a friend will appear and refill his health back to full; this can be done six times.
In the first phase, Toc-Man has 8 hit points. Every few seconds, Toc-Man will aim and fire 12 waves that each consist of 5 Pac-Dots and occasionally, it will also use its jetpack to fly towards Pac-Man. The player can hit Toc-Man with Pac-Dots or rev rolls 8 times. Once done, Toc-Man will pull out a Metal dot and eat it to obtain the Chrome Suit.
In the second phase, Metal Toc-Man will occasionally butt bounce across the arena, emitting shockwaves that will harm Pac-Man if he is on the ground; Pac-Man must be in the air to avoid these. Sometimes, Toc-Man can also use his jetpack to fly forwards and drag its metal fist along the ground to create a fire trail. Pac-Man must wait until Toc-Man flies towards the stage a fire the cannons, to shower the arena with cannonballs. One of the cannons can also shoot a metal dot allowing Pac-Man to obtain his own Chrome Suit. This can allow Pac-Man to damage Metal Toc-Man with revrolls before the power-up wears off. Once Toc-Man was hit 8 times, the Chrome Suit wears off and moves on to the final phase where he fuses two power pellets into one big power pellet. Toc-Man then eats it to become giant.
In the third and final phase, Toc-Man will occasionally stomp, creating shockwaves that can hurt Pac-Man if he doesn't jump. Occasionally, Toc-Man will walk to the center of the arena before retracting its limbs and jetpack to rev roll to circle around the arena. Pac-Man must be evade it, as a failure to do so will flatten him and harm him. When Toc-Man finishes his rev roll, he will continue to walk around as normal. Pac-Man must hit one of Toc-Man's boots 3 times with tacs or rev rolls; temporarily sitting on the ground stunned; while he is stunned. Pac-Man can run up on one of his arms and butt bounce on his head to take away a health point. Doing this 3 times will defeat Toc-Man, but not before it comes back to life and smacking Pac-Man into the cake which also had a power pellet. As Giant Toc-Man approaches, Pac-Man jumps forward and eats the power pellet and the player must mash the jump button to grow Mega Pac-Man even larger to overpower and chomp giant Toc-Man, fully destroying him and complete the game.
The ghost Orson who created Toc-Man says that he will join Pac-Man and work for him. This is a result to Pac-Man World 3, when Orson and Pac-Man are partners.
