Under Pressure is the second level of the Factory area & the 17th level overall in Pac-Man World and its remake, Pac-Man World Re-Pac. Much more perilous than Perilous Pipes, Under Pressure introduces many new hazards for Pac-Man to watch out for. Falling tools, sharks, and red-hot pipes all wait for their chance to eliminate Pac-Man. Pac-Man should have at least 10 lives before entering this level, or he will have to restart the level many times.
This level, like all the Factory levels, is absent in the GBA remake.
Trivia[]
- The level's music has been used for the title screen's theme in the Game Boy Advance version.
- The level's title is a music reference to the Queen and David Bowie song by the same name.
- The remake originally used a remixed version of the level's music track, which contrasted with all other levels who's uncompressed versions were used for the mazes in the original game, whom were carried over to the remake instead of being remixed. An update released on November 15, 2022, changed the level's track to the original, uncompressed source composition.
