An unknown Pac-Man game was in development sometime around 2009 to 2010, but was ultimately canceled. It was going to be an action game, and was seemingly planned to be released on the iPad.

Known Information[]

No gameplay videos or screenshots of this game have surfaced; however, many pieces of concept artwork were illustrated and released by Soosa Kim, who also worked on 2010's Pac-Man Party.

The game was seemingly planned to be a side-scrolling platformer, similar to Pac-Land, with the goal being to reach a flagpole at the end of the stage (a la Super Mario Bros.). Along the way, many minigames would be played inside the area's houses and windmills. The minigames are shown to be rather simple, with the given example being to roll Pac-Man across the screen by tilting the iPad.

The artwork has a unique, storybook-like style, which has not been seen in any other Pac-Man title. Concepts include various forest areas, Halloween and Tiki-themed locations, and a "Sky Village" above the clouds, with Pac-Man flying via a rainbow-colored parasol. Alongside Pac-Man and the Ghosts, characters such as Ms. Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and The Prince were also planned to appear. Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde were going to appear as ninjas, dubbed the "Ninjya Ghosts".

Trivia[]

  • This project shares some similarities with Pac-Man World (cancelled project), another canceled Pac-Man game from around the same time. However, it is unknown if these two projects are related.
  • On one of the concept pages, a speech bubble is coming out of Pac-Man saying "Hey!! I can speak now!". It is unclear if Pac-Man would actually talk in-game, or if this was just a joke added in the artwork.
