Walking Tombstone appears as an enemy in Creepy Catacombs and Grave Danger, the second and third levels of the Boss Mansion Area. From a distance, it appears to be a normal, non-sentient tombstone, but when Pac-Man get closer to it, its arms and legs emerge from its body. Afterwards, it will begin walking in a set pattern. If Pac-Man is nearby, Walking Tombstone will chase him; then, it will jump up and slam onto the ground in an attempt to crush him.

After finishing its jump, Walking Tombstone will lay on the ground for a couple of seconds, giving Pac-Man enough time to destroy it with a Butt Bounce. Walking Tombstone is invulnerable to Butt Bounces while it is walking; however, it can still be destroyed in this state with a Pac-Dot Attack. Defeating it rewards the player with 300 points.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

Walking Tombstone's body is a trapezoidal gravestone crowned with three triangular spikes. The latter feature serves as its head. In the original Pac-Man World, the upper and lower sections of its body are separated by another trapezoidal section that acts as its "neck." The upper section of its body has the image of a skull engraved into it. Its arm and legs are purple while its hands and feet are pale green.

Walking Tombstone's design is significantly different in Pac-Man World Re-Pac. The "neck" portion of its body is completely absent; as such, its head has been resized to mach the width of the rest of its body. The skull on its head is no longer present; in its place is a wide hole from which two pupils can be seen. Its limbs, now the same color as its body, are stubbier, and its hands and feet are noticeably more rectangular. Finally, its body is now partially covered with lichen and vines.
